I just upgraded from the TM Spyder to th e TX. I ordered my TX 1 week before the TMX came out. The TMX has a belt/motor system, as opposed to the gear driven system of the TX. Also, the TMX does not have the option to change wheel rims, F1/GTE. It is compatible with the shifter and pedal upgrades. IMO, if the TMX is in your budget, go for it. A FFB wheel makes Sim Racing so much better.

Having a wheel makes soooooooooooo much difference. I enjoyed my racing beforehand but now its even better. Although I am considerabley more sweaty by the end of a race!

Was just looking at the cheaper 458 wheel to see if I want to go down the wheel route however all of the reviews have complained about the no ffb, so looks like if I am to get the wheel then the tmx will be the choice I go for unless I find a tx at a reli cheap price lol

Old thread I know but...

I have a tm Spyder with Xbox one but am not sure how to best configure a microphone with this. Would it be better to upgrade the wheel to something that natively supports a headset/microphone?

Thanks guys.

Plug your headset/mic into your controller.  Fire up the XBox.  Plug in your wheel to XBox.  Mic should work, but controller will shut off if not touched and running on batteries.  Hardwire controller to XBox, and it won't shut down. I used to run a Spyder.

If you can go the extra bit I recommend the TX. Ive used one for over a year and its been brilliant.

I also use a TX and love it, however it won't solve a headset issue. Wheels don't have headset inputs like they did on xbox 360. I do what Rebel said and have my controller set next to my wheel and have it plugged into the xbox.
