Japanese motorsports

Post by DSRLReadingRich on Fri Feb 12, 2016 10:29 am

Not sure how you guys feel about it but for me I really enjoy watching both Super Formula and Super GT.
Of course it helps Honda have a big presence in both series that aside the racing is really close and the long distance of the events in both series means that race isn't over before it even gets going which sometimes the BTCC can be guilty of.
Also some of the lap times around Suzuka of the Super Formula cars would out qualify the lower end of the F1 grid in recent years.
Also as a motorsports fan it's nice to see the paddocks full of people and entertainment which aren't just trying to sell you pop or pizza. I found last year that WEC,Blancpain, Formula E and WSR like this being very French were as the F1 I went to the year before being very British was just sell sell sell.

Yeah I like the Super Formula cars a lot, they have less bits on them than a F1 or Indycar.
By contrast the fact that nearly every part of the Super GT car is covered in winglets makes them look epic.
